Yep, this is Cheyenne, a purebred champion-blooded border collie. This dog is by no doubt the love of my life, and in no stretch of the imagination could I dream of living without her. I got this beauty
in Chicago, Illinois. Her father was imported directly from Australia, and in my eyes, the Australian lines are the absolute best. Her showname fits her better than I could have imagined: Agape Tranquility Disrupted.
Oh yeah, that's her alright. She's a whirlwind of hyperness, but I've bonded with her like no other dog ever.
Her father was Pawtails Express Yourself and her mother was Hotshot's Amazing Grace, for those
interested. Ringo and Gracie sure made some gorgeous pups!
Cheyenne loves to swim and we're planning on putting her in 'dock dog' trails. Unfortunately, Cheyenne's single blue eye as well as her lacking coat did not suit the conformation ring, but she's still entering the Agility and Herding world! Border collies are very versatile, as you can see, and if she's lucky, she might get in some field trial training once she's finished with titles in other areas.
Cheyenne is my first purebred adopted from a breeder, and I'm very much looking forward to everything she has to offer. Warn me if you wish, but I'm not scared of what lies ahead! Nothing is gonna get in cheyenne's way and not get chewed to pieces! (especially anything with a squeaker in it!)
sir barks-a-lot!
This is dusty, my first herding dog. Before I discovered herding breeds, we had an array of canines, from wolf hybrids to retriever mixes, we had it all! Dusty is a rescue dog we got from a local specialty breed
rescue. He might not look it, but he's actually a Shetland Sheepdog. I've had dusty since I was five, and my mom told me that I used to get into his kennel while he was in it! I must have been really small ><.
Dusty is a sable merle, kind of cool seeing as those are a bit difficult to come by. You might notice some scarring around his eyes, that's because he was abused as a pup and had mange. Even today,
he still retains a bit of fear for people, especially tall men.
Before getting arthritis, Dusty was trained in Agility. He had gotten quite good at it, but right as he was ready to enter trials, his joints began to pain him excessively, and we had to stop training all together. Before that
he had been put on some sheep, which was interesting! Now dusty has cancer and has only been given a little longer to live. Very sad.
the pirate
This is sparrow, named for everyone's favorite Captain Jack in POC. Sparrow is a colorpoint gray agouti, and is quite a stunningly handsome boy. Sparrow actually had two brothers named Jack and Captain, but they
were adopted out. Sparrow was bred by me, and is quite a stunning gerbil indeed.
the character
This guy is actually quite a bit older than he was in this picture, now! This little gerbil is a honey cream and is about a year and a half old. Sonic the gerbil was bred by me out of Sparrow's brother and a gerbil I used to own (who is now rehomed) named Honey. He's one of the most friendly gerbils I've ever owned.
the snuggle-bunny
This is my rat. My only rat. The only reason I'm getting rid of all of my gerbils (which before I began rehoming was 23 of the little guys) is so I can have another rat. Tor is a british blue standard-coated rat. He's probably my second favorite of my animals.
Tor is very funny, crazy, and playful, and he currently knows three human commands. Well, two if you don't count him knowing his name. He can sit up and he can -try- to roll over. It's comical in a silly way. I was
always envious of people in the PC having rats, and when one poked his adorable little nose out the cage in the pet store, I couldn't dream of saying no.
Tor is going to get a little friend as soon as possible, so please don't call me a bat rat mom! My father won't let me get anymore rodents until the gerbils I promised go away. I play with tor as much as possible and
he enjoys riding on my shoulder and snuggling up with me in bed. He's a great pet and I never knew how awesome a rodent could really be!
fatty-butt
I won't lie, I hate guinea pigs. How I ended up with one, I don't know. Either way, I've grown to love this little guy, who I've named pepper. He's annoying as hell when you open the refrigerator because he squeals like a squeaky toy.
I also have an 11 year old Appaloosa gelding named Denver, but I can't find a picture of him to put up, so I'll have to take some new ones.
& yours truly...

breif site history
Poprocks was started by me, Jess, on June 25th, 2008. It was and still is a Catz 3+ site. Poprocks is a site dedicated to showing off adopted petz, breeding litters for adoption, and soon it will include
hexing tutorials. I hope that the site is worth my hard work.
version: 2 date: July 15th - August ?th info: This layout was wonderful! It was a shame I had to close Poprocks down, because this was one of the neatest layouts I've ever done, in my opinion. It was a lovely green color.
version: 1 date: June 25th - July 15th info: I liked this layout, but it was a little bland and disorganized, so it was up only a little over a month. It featured two of my most favorite colors and my cat Mina. Some people really liked it, but it wasn't my best work.
